This team finished the regular season 6-6. They entered the playoffs as the #8 seed and faced #9 seed Morse. After posting a 4-1 win, the side took to the road and a matchup with top seed and undefeated Lincoln Academy. With the 2-time defending singles champion on their side, the home team posed a difficult challenge for the underdogs.
A clutch victory at #2 singles by Jack Lawlor provided the margin of victory in a 3-2 upset for the underdogs.
The playoff run continued with the Western Maine Semifinals at Freeport. A team that the 'Cats had lost to in the regular season (2-3), Freeport was ripe for York to earn their second upset of the postseason. Oh yes they made the upset come to fruition once again. Dave Bresnahan turned around his loss a few weeks earlier to a straight set victory. Lawlor polished off the match with a straight set win with the score level at two all.
